Hey there everyone…

Writing is one of my forgotten hobbies… Working long hours always comes at a price, and sometimes you also have to pay a tip hobbies are usually tips.

However, I’ve decided to deduct this part of the tip, and start this blog. What encouraged me to do so -other than the hobby of writing- includes:

• Recently, with all the political “Spring” thing going on in the arab world, there’s been much more restrictions on what can you say in a newspaper! I tried to publish an article on women driving in Saudi, not a single newspaper approved, & of course, not a single one replied with reasons (Not Making Sense!), and when I finally reached a reporter, he told me that the subject is too sensitive now, and they’ll most likely not publish it nowadays. Seriously? So I should wait until the whole thing is over? or maybe wait until the government approves women to drive, then publish an article with the title “Why not let women drive?”!!
  You know what, I’ll publish that article over here as one of my first in this blog!
• Can’t find a proper website to share my thoughts. Vast majority of websites related to the country I live in (KSA) are in Arabic, then vast majority of Arabic websites are just a bunch of #$%^! where people fight, and label each others rather than sharing & discussing thoughts.
• Written/ typed communication has always been something I enjoyed, and a lot of times I feel like wanting to put my thoughts on a screen before moving on. I think more than one screen would be even better! Seriously, if I reached to a conclusion after a lot of hard work, or finally found reason behind something, made sense of another, why not share & have the audience benefit as well?

So those are my main reasons for creating this blog, I hope I’ve been.. well, Making Sense!

As for the subjects & categories I plan to blog about, I’ve decided to focus on the 3 areas I’m most interested in, and have the minimum knowledge required to make sense in front of the audience: Marketing, Technology, and Society. The rest will come a long, but that’s what I’m expecting right now, I’m trying to keep my self from turning this into a business & plan for it so well, and I keep convincing my self that this is just a blog that I’ll use to share some thoughts I hope that makes sense to my senses!!

Oh, one more thing..
Been thinking about the language thing.. Arabic, English, Arabish…. hmmm

I’m more comfortable writing about some subjects in English & some others in Arabic, so I guess if you’re an audience, you’ll need to live with it.. As a matter of fact, if you ARE an audience, according to the marketing definition of it, you shouldn’t have a problem with that at all!
